Our lovely daughter will be in a softball clinic all day on Saturday. My life partner and I will be able to go out and see a non-family movie in the theatre for the first time since we moved to California.
Which movie should we see and why?
I am leaning toward MILK.

3. I thought Milk was great |
|
if I were going to a totally non-family type movie - hmm, maybe Zach and Miri make a porno, except I think it's only at the 2nd run theaters now.
Milk is great, Slumdog Millionaire is excellent (but intense), Benjamin Button is intriguing. I still have Frost Nixon and The Reader on my list.

4. Milk looks like a good movie |
|
I haven't been to the movies in years so I can't really make any recommendations. I would love to start going more. I like awards shows and it would be more fun if I could judge the movies nominated for Oscars myself.

8. There are really a lot of good ones out....Milk is excellent..... |
|
as are Slumdog...., The Reader, Benjamin Button, and Frost/Nixon...(I believe that those are the ones that are nominated for best picture) and I thought they were all terrific. They were good in such different ways. It depends on what you're in the mood for. You may want to go to the website rottentomatoes.com as it gives a good overview of critic and viewer comments, plus really a really good overview of the films...

9. Milk was excellent. Doubt was also outstanding |
|
We went to these two and were glued to our chair for both. Actually we wanted "Doubt" to keep going. Streep was something else.
