David Hasselhoff for Assistant Guv'nah!!!

Gary Coleman names David Hasselhoff as part of team for California rule!

Once upon a time in a generation far, far away, there was a man called David Hasselhoff. He was an "actor" in Hollywood. He frequently wore a pair of tight jeans, leather jackets and had a pretty permed hairstyle.

All the children loved him, because he was Michael Knight and a good man. He drove around in his campy talking car and solved crimes. Even though young David had great difficulty showing emotional range, he was a big hit with the laydeez and gay men.

Overweight housewives wanted to take him home and make mad, passionate love to his chestwig. David stopped making shows about wooden crimestoppers and worked on a show called "Baywatch".

It was also a big success and featured pretty women with big breasts running up and down on the beach in slow motion, jiggling their silicone-enhanced bodies. It was a wonderfully educational show and centred on a group of L.A lifeguards. They all had nice tans; the women were pretty, while the men wore chestwigs and padded their red swimming shorts with socks. David was a big hit as "Mitch", a chickenlegged lifeguard hero. "Baywatch" grew to be an enormous success the world over, especially with the volume turned down and the pants around the ankles.

Subsequently, our humble star made his move on the music charts.

He released a string of musical covers and displayed his "unique" vocal range on each track. He's really big in Germany, you know. David is an accomplished musical performer and has accomplished the brilliant feat of destroying other people's good songs.

Not what you might expect. My friend is a master SCUBA diver who was on the Okeanos Aggressor liveaboard diveboat. This ship operates out of Costa Rica, going to Cocos Island (Island of Sharks). He said David was a great guy whom everyone really liked. The problem was he could not/would not follw directions from the divemaster and would swim off from the group, placing himself and them at risk while they wasted time tracking him down. When you are around schools of hammerhead sharks, it's pretty important that divers follow directions. Also, he ran out of air, i.e., didn't monitor his air supply with his dive computer three times and had to be buddy breathed (someone had to share their air supply with him) back to the surface. So a master diver had to be assigned to dive with him one-on-one.
Conclusion: great guy - totally irresponsible.
