Remember Baa Baa Black Sheep?
There's a show you couldn't do today without CG. The expense of aviation fuel alone and insurance for the Corsairs would make the series financially unfeasible.

Although, You could do some really cool stuff if you went the CG route like they do with BSG. No more crappy stock footage!

Just have it set inside the barracks and have folks coming in and out making hilarious comments about the war and their own domestic foibles...

2. Yeah, but the coolest part of the show was the Corsairs!
In a way the Corsairs were the true stars of the show. (and the AT-6s modified to look like Zeroes.)
