Wow. There has been this white stuff falling from the sky all afternoon.
It's cold and wet. I almost remember something like that from my youth called "snow".

:)

Man, we are so freakin' psyched that it is actually snowing - real snow - here in GA!

My front yard -

and my back yard - that we were playing in yesterday!

1. I'm in Woodstock, just northwest of Atlanta
I went to Kroger in Town Lake about 11:30 this morning. It was raining when I left home and when I was driving back, it started to snow. It lasted for about 1/2 hour and then nothing but rain. Since then, all I have seen is rain. Right now, the winds are kicking up. I live in a mobile home and I keep hearing things hitting the roof. Pretty scary. All I know is if the roads freeze over, there will be no way I will be driving to my office in Marietta tomorrow morning.

4. I can't believe you're only getting rain.
It was raining at my house at about 10am, then at 11:15 it started sleeting. It started snowing at around 1:30pm and hasn't stopped yet here.
I hope you get some white stuff. We don't get this too often.

And I most certainly won't be driving into downtown Atlanta from Covington if its still bad out there (also, schools might be closed and our daycare closes if Rockdale Co. schools close).

3. I lived in Tuscaloosa Ala back in the 70's for a year or so and we had a snow storm
that looked very much like yours. The kids in the neighborhood went crazy! They had never seen snow and ran up and down the street gathering snow from everyones' yard to make a snowman. They did but it was melted the next day. :-)

5. Ha!
I know this looks like small potatoes to people who get this kind of dusting in one half hours time, but we rarely ever get snow so it's a beautiful thing to see.

8. You Georgians are getting ALL the good stuff.
Can you hurl a snowball over SC to us? How far can you throw? :P

It's still just raining here in the southern part of NC. It won't start snowing here until after dark. :(
