Funny complaints from school staff re: Jack. |
|
"He seems to like to eat snow a lot." "Jack chewed open the thumbs on his mittens during recess." "He was resistant to eating goldfish crackers at snack, but was angry when other kids ate them." "He tried to run down the lane after the ball, at the bowling alley." "He went to sleep on the bus." "He fell asleep in Michelle's lap." "He walked into the classroom, laid down in the middle of the floor, and went to sleep." "Jack appears to be afraid of the hamster in Mrs. XYZ's room." "We have been trying to encourage him to stop licking things."

10. Frankly, I'm surprised he hasn't frozen his tongue to anything yet. |
|
Even I had done that by the time I was his age.

My little friend with DS is coming to visit this month. She moved to Chicago 1 1/2 years ago and I haven't seen her since. I told my friend, her mom, that I didn't give a rat's ass where she stayed as long as I could have Nadilee.

I went out for lunch with my best friend yesterday, and one of her older daughters came with. She's 14 and has a condition called septo-optic dysplasia, and she has physical and cognitive issues. She's completely hilarious. She kept telling me, "Lara, you're so sweet. You're so nice. I just think you're such a sweet heart," and was very enthusiastic about reciting random multiplication facts for me.

|
walking around in a kid's body. All those naps and the acquiring of the opposable thumb are proof positive :)

Cats hate that and will not sleep in your lap as punishment. After a suitable amount of time has passed they will relent. :)

Jack has gnawed through three pairs of waterproof mittens this winter. They aren't even selling them at the store any more!

I don't know, but he chewed his way though Kindergarten last year, so I made sure to purchase extra mittens at the beginning of the season this year!

Eleanor is insisting on taking all of her clothes off at naptime.
Then she kicks and hits when we try to put them back on her.
