4. I like watching it and think they have put out some talent..

even if they got lost immersed in many that didn't, but tonight is disappointing except for Jasmine.

6. It just started here, and Lil Rounds just sang.

Randy, Kara, and Paula fawned over her, but I thought her performance was slow and dull. And those white, high-waisted, pleated, tapered pants looked awful! Unflattering on ANYBODY.

Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Lakisha, Melinda Doolittle, Katharine McPhee, Brooke White, Bo Bice, Blake Lewis, Kimberley Locke, Michael Johns..

17. Kimberley Locke is one of my fav. too

I have some of her songs on my iPod. She was robbed in season two. I think she actually still has a record contract too (the winner and runner-up have been dropped from their record labels).

She'll get a record deal out of this, for sure. And rightly so. Most of the heavy hitters are in her half od the show.

He seems to have the most stage presence and there is something about his face that reminds me of Elvis.

I'm not crazy about his hair and black fingernails though.

Right now, Danny Gokey is my favorite.

I thought Jasmine won the night, with Allison and Matt next. But Alexis might move me again next week like she did before.

25. Adam is on right now...that's one of my favorite MJ songs.

8. They have had at least one good singer each season, but they typically get lost in the shuffle

and don't win. Tamyra Gray, Trenyce, Latoya London, Bo Bice, Melinda Doolittle, David Archuleta are a few of the better singers... but they never go on to win, they get eliminated and then may or may not go on to careeers (Jennifer Hudson, Chris Daughtry, Katharine McPhee, even Clay Aiken had a career for a while). The ones that do go on to win are usually boring after all the hoopla has died down.

9. I've stopped watching

After Taylor what's-his-face, I lost my appetite.

I'm a Music Teacher, too, so in the beginning I used to say "That show justifies my job!" Now so many people think that most of the finalists have actual talent. They have lost there discernment button. x(

11. I liked Taylor Hicks. That was the only contestant I ever rooted for.

At least he was enjoyable and fun to root for. Unfortunately, he also didn't fit the normal teeny-bopper American Idol demographic, hence the reason he never sold any records after Idol. But at least I could enjoy watching him sing and do his thing. The rest, I never got any attachment to or bothered to care for them.


That being said, I hope the blind guy wins this season.

14. I like Taylor

I think there have been better soul singers, but he was unique for the show. Probably why Simon didn't like him.

and he has a new album coming out soon.
