Lounge, I present a new angle on an old controversy. I give you....
CHEEZE-IT CHICKEN

1 sm. box Cheeze-Its (for crumbs)
1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
Salt and pepper
1 cube melted butter

Skin chicken breasts if desired. Dip first in sour cream and then into Cheeze- Its which have been processed into crumbs. Place in a baking dish and dribble with the melted butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes covered and 15 minutes uncovered.

23. Huh. I don't have archived links... but I bet someone does.
It boils down to what you bread your fried chicken in, so far as I know. At least on the surface level... I tend to not pay attention to the subliminal wars in the lounge, for the most part. :)

11. Chicken recipes post were getting locked constantly, back in the day.
It seemed like every second post was a flamewar about chicken. It was back in the bad old days of the Bush years,I guess.

Now that I have read your description, I'm thinking it's not such a good idea.

8. i like using Ritz crackers once in a while for coating chicken.
i don't eat meat so hey, they're lucky they're getting anything!

Ritz Cracker crumbs on baked mac and cheese is also good, makes and awesome crust, heavily dotted with buttah of course.

So good as a topping. Crushed pretzels work pretty well, too (since they make good wheat-free pretzels, but nothing like Ritz.)

31. It was the regular Cap'n from my memory.
I don't have a recipe since it was part of a feature on a restaurant. But, basically, it was french toast battered as normal, with crushed Cap'n Crunch applied. Then griddled. Looked divine.
