Blackberry driving me nuts... |
|
Edited on Sun Mar-15-09 09:01 PM by Mike 03
Okay, my sister was kind enough to buy me a Blackberry.
Yes, it's a wonderful, nice thing to do.
But I hated it, didn't use it, and never really learned all of the things it can do. And now I wish I had learned more about it.
And some people I love are on Blackberry, and I would probably be mentally healthier if I were in contact with them then being more/less a loner.
Should I just activate the damned thing and learn how to text and all that?
I have no damned clue how to upload things, what a podcast is, or how to text anyone.
Would it be good for me to just activate the damned thing and get into this?
EDIT:
Also, I'm so ignorant about how to use this new technology, is there anyplace I can go to get a quick lesson?
Sheesh...
Thanks

1. I'm not fond of the Blackberry. |

I worked for them back when they were moving from pager-sized units to PalmPilot sized units (WAY pre cellphone). My problem with them is that you are connected to your email 24/7 and can end up working 24 hours a day. It's like Pavlov's dog -- you hear the ringtone and you have to respond because it made a noise. I was never happier than to be untied from those freakin' things.
I don't even have a cellphone after working for RIM, and that was a lot of years ago. I just find it too easy for people to think they have the right to invade my personal space when it's convenient for them. YMMV.
