My surgery Friday went well. I had a quiet weekend, spending it mainly on my couch, being lazy.

10. I never saw it until last night

There's a new tv channel here that shows nothing but movies and old tv shows...It came on totally without warning last night... But this movie was so good (as in so bad it's good) I instantly loved it! Max Von Sydow played the villian, Ming the Merciless! I want to get it on video and watch it again!

He always seemed old, didn't he? However he turns 80 next month, April 29 (a quick wiki search turned that up!) I'll always remember him from the Ingmar Bergman movies, especially The Seventh Seal where he is the knight who plays chess with Death...turns out he was 27 in that movie!

I'm looking for a copy of Flash Gordon myself now. Preferably a cheap VHS version and then later as I finally get accustomed to dvds, a wide screen version...It's hokey to the max but obviously great fun was had by all who were in it! I never saw it when it first came out in 1980, probably because I was in college and busy studying "great movies" like The Seventh Seal, etc......

I'm glad the toe surgery went well. Hopefully they did it right this time. My weekend went as they usually do. I really don't get out much on the weekends unless I've got someone to do something with, and I'm working on that right now. I spent the last 5 hours e-mailing women on the dating site. Somebody has to seriously respond eventually. There's got to be someone for me out there. :)

Here's what my back yard will look like pretty soon, without the dead leaves. That was actually taken in August of last year and the birch trees we have shed their leave early. The cat is a neighborhood kitty. My next door neighbor feeds him. I used to.

Foot is better. But I noticed today that it still hurts while not laying lazy on the couch but walking around.

I was supposed to join a workshop at 2pm my time but it changed to 3pm my time. So I am able to be around a bit longer than expected.

She took up literally 45 minutes of the 4 hour class on Saturday, because she could not understand that a movie could have two very different interpretations. I still don't think she gets it, but she finally stopped arguing. It was amazing. I was sitting there wondering how she managed to get into the program, which is bad, because the professor who teaches the class is also the head of the department.

I'm still amused by the whole thing.

lol. I'm still absorbing it all.

It started off with beers on Saturday. His GF was out with her friend and wrecked his car in the rain (sober, noone hurt). Car is totalled though. He is ..errr.. was headed back to NYC tomorrow, so we figured we'd party down. I woke this morning on the couch with an Austrailian Cattle Dog at daylight. Naturally, alls I wanted to do by that time was get home to my puppies.

I hollered upstairs that I was taking off and think I heard a grunted acknowlegement. My Daushund was so happy to see me when I got home that she near broke her back wagging her tail.

I had some good emails to read when I booted up Bessie. Life is good.

Did I mention how yummy Koolaid is on a Monday morning? Yummmm..
