3. Formerly Clan Fraser
After attending a tribal gathering in Scotland, I opted out. A bunch of fantasists looking down on other people pretending they're royalty. The only good thing was that I got month's bike trekking through the Highlands, so it wasn't a total waste.

I created a rebel clan on Geocities, Clan Simidh, to take the piss on the faux bravehearts.

4. well, I just learned that my distant Irish ancestors went/fled? to Scotland for a
century or two and then came back to Donegal. Apparently we even have a tartan! I suspected that being alleged mercenaries had something to do with it...

So I'm not sure. My grandfather left Cork in the early part of the last century, so it's hard to say. Ancestry is more fluid at times than one would think.

11. Fuckin' A
Clan Johnston (I think that's pretty much the equivalent of Smith here. . .), ornery as hell and prone to live forever. I'm afraid I'm a bit of a black sheep because I tend to be a beaner, which makes the men look down on me because they're such hunter-gatherers. I guess if I manage to snag a kilted brute who is willing to kill and eat wildlife with them, they would overlook my shortcomings. :eyes:

And woohooo! We're heading into serious Highland Games season here starting next weekend!

Grandpa was Scottish on both sides, though the great-grandparents met in Detroit. The name's Pritchard, with the T; legend has it that the branch spelling it "Prichard" was forced to take the 't' out after its members were caught stealing goats.
