Hey, my neighbor got a part on LOST

I emailed her about some small question & found out she was away for a week and then we had some more back and forth about her staying away longer before I asked her where she was and she answered Hawaii. How the hell...? I wondered. She got back yesterday and it turns out she got a small part on LOST which I will now have to watch for the month of May to catch it.

She's a single mother actor, director, fight choreographer, many auditions, few parts. You have to be able to take rejection in this business. Toronto has a Hollywood film business but it's feast or famine, and for a long time here after the Canadian dollar increased in value it was all famine. A lot of actors here spend much time in the low pay high cool independent theater and film scene. It's a tough life but she is very frugal and very resourceful and a great mom, so I'm very happy that she got a proper scale paycheck plus a chance to spend a month in Hawaii with her four year old.
