LOL! My 2 year old grandson just came in and looked at my computer screen

and spelled out the letters to DEMOCRATIC when he saw them at the top of the screen. He can't prounouce the word yet, but we've got him off to a good start on politics.

1. He knows the alphabet at two?

Someone must read to him frequently, besides obviously teaching him things. To that, I say

2. His Mom started by spelling out a few words to him. He caught onto it

like wildfire and discovered that he could get any adult in the family to sit down and listen to him name letters. He just turned 2 in January and knows all of his letters, upper and lowercase, and numbers 1-9. He is also learning Vietnamese along with English so he can talk to his other grandmother when she comes over to visit next month. He chats with my DIL's parents online on a regular basis and we hope that he will recognize her when he sees her in person.
