Do you have personal anecdotal evidence for global climate change? |
|
When my kids were little, we used to take bets as to when the snow pile in the grocery store parking lot would be gone. May 1 was the favorite date.
It's March 24.
The pile is almost gone, although we pushed our record for seasonal snowfall this winter.

2. No, because there was a couple of cold days during winter! |
|
And you all know that the fact that there were some cold days during winter automatically means there is no such thing as global warming!
:sarcasm:
Sorry, just had to throw out the standard Freeper argument.

4. Which matches up with my intepretation. |
|
I compare global climate change to a pan of water on the stove. Keep the heat low, and nothing much happens. Turn the heat up and you get violent agitation. A wildly shifting jet stream would produce the result you described.

That's why it's better to call it "climate change" rather than "global warming"

8. When I was a kid, we had a little ski hill in town at the local park |
|
Every kid in town learned to ski there. Once they mastered that, they moved on to the slightly bigger ski area outside of town.
There hasn't been enough snow consistently for the last 10 or 15 years for those places to operate. The hill in town recently re-opened but it's funded by donations and only runs when there's snow. Used to be there always was.

9. Whereabouts is this? Here in Fulton on the East shore of |
|
Lake Ontario, we are getting record amounts of snow, but the actual number of days of snow cover is dropping. If the trend continues, the day will come when we get 42 feet of snow........on a single day!
