Looks like Disney is going to do for Ska what they did to Rock with the Jonas Brothers |
|
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAloQYjWmFII might actually get to see Midlo at one of the my shows. How exciting is that?

1. It actually had a couple giggle-worthy jokes, and then this line: |
|
"Always do what scares you".
Of course, that line doesn't apply if you're being sexually assaulted, but otherwise there's something decent in that flick.

2. The climax of the whole trailer |
|
The female character yells 'let's shred' over a horrible cover of Everything I Own by Bread*
* - geeky music note. Bread originally recorded the song Everything I Own. The song structure heard in the trailer is more of a direct lift from Ken Boothe who covered Everything I Own in the early 70s. I find this similar to Red Wine from UB40 - though a Neil Diamond cover, the style and structure was a direct lift of Tony Tribe's cover of the song in 1969.

Trojan has a ton of re-issue box sets. I believe Red Wine is on disc three of this one: http://www.amazon.com/Trojan-Skinhead-Reggae-Box-Set/dp/B000067NUB

"starring Vanessa Hudgens, Gaelan Connell, Aly Michalka, Lisa Kudrow, and David Bowie."
OK, one hint, it's the person on the list that actually has talent...
