Neat storyline, good actors, great acting, neat sets, action, awesome sound track, bitchin' clothes, but apparently on too late?

6. It's lacking in Gretchen Mol, and Harvey Keitel... |
|
therefore, it can't be better...
Yes, I did watch the UK version before I said that, the US version would have continued to be better if given a chance.

I did not see that coming. Great way to tie everything together, series name, little robots, and all the strange things. I will miss it.
Did the UK version end the same way?

4. It wasn't what I expected - for sure. Didn't see the BBC version. |
|
Yet.
I imagine the ending disappointed a few people but I liked it. I imagined it differently though.

|
Is it all in his head? Or suicide in the past brings him back to future? Or something else?

Sam was in a coma. Woke up in 2006, hated his existence and wanted to return to coma/and or end it all so he jumped off a building.

26. According to Ashes to Ashes (which is crap) |
|
He did return, and stayed until about 1976, when he died chasing some perp and his car went into a river. I don't remember if that coincides with him being taken off life support or not.
God, I'm sill pissed at that lame ass fucking typical American weak-assed cop-out (pun intended) horseshit snivelling bullshit horseshit lame-assed bullshit ending.

you do not disappoint. :applause:
I'll admit I liked the show, at first, considering the enormous amount of pure shit that is American tee vee. After ABC took it off the air for a few weeks I forgot about it and never really watched it again until the finale. While I don't interact with you that much on this board, I have read your comments/insights/comparisons and I knew you'd fucking hate it. I'm just glad you didn't stroke out at the lovey dovey spaceship crew wake up scene. }(

7. See, I liked the ending... |

I just wish it would have had more time to work towards it. It makes sense, but it would have made more sense if the writers hadn't have had to cram every plot point into the last handful of episodes.

20. I only caught the last 4 or five shows so Netflix should be fun. |
|
I think there were 17 episodes which gives me and you plenty to waqtch once it comes out on DVD.
I kick myself though for missing so much before getting my shit together. it was one hell of a show.

9. The President Obama line made me laugh. |
|
:-)
a more positive and literal ending than the Brits' version.
Typical ABC head up their arse programming fook ups killed it. Taking it off the air for a month then switching nights certainly didn't help.

27. One of the best lines I've ever heard on a TV series. |
|
I think that one line really summed up the series, for some reason. Perfect way to really tie everything together. I was a little bored and confused during some of the episodes. But now, knowing what was revealed at the end, I'm looking forward to viewing it again on DVD from Netflix.

12. I could see why they moved it to Wednesdays |
|
Thinking that the "LOST" audience might appreciate it (while moving "Private Practice" to Thursday and teaming it up with "Greys Anatomy" as it probably should have been from the beginning)
The hiatus in the middle didn't help, but its not like there's much original TV programming on in December anyway with all the Xmas crap. And if the regular shows air at all, it's probably reruns.
I liked the show though. Have only seen about 5 minutes of the British version, so I can't compare the two directly, but from what I've heard, I'd have to say the US version ended better. Too bad ABC is pulling the plug on another decent show, while continuing to pile up shit like "Dancing with the Supernanny Makeover" in primetime.

The DVD of the UK version is coming out in July.
There's also as sequel, of sorts, when a police woman finds herself back in the 80's. Called Ashes to Ashes.

I *vaguely* remember it (from the actual period). I liked most of the music from this series. BTW- a family friend was the costume designer!

15. ABC is gutting all of its programming this year... |
|
It's still beating NBC in the ratings game, but apparently that isn't good enough.. They've already run off Eli Stone and Pushing Daisies. Plus, ABC has ruined much of Scrubs.
