i had my first NYC whole foods shopping experience today |
|
jeebus! new yawkers are serious about their grocery shopping
we're in NYC for a few days since a friend of the family has a place they offered us to stay during the NYU accepted students weekend. we went to stock up on some simple groceries to last us the weekend and ended up at a whole foods. great store, lots of selection, way more crowded than the piggly wiggly in bama ;) i'll have to get accustomed to this before moving in the fall! i'm looking forward to it though!!
we're going to do some touristy things while in town. i figure i need to do them while i'm a tourist - before i'm in school here and it's uncool :P

3. Do they make first-year students live in student housing? |

If not, note that many NYU students have fled the insane NYC housing market for, um, Jersey City, NJ. PATH trains (like subways) run from there to 9th St. and 6th Ave. near NYU.
edit: in about ten minutes, closer than Brooklyn

- or does that still go on? I haven't been there in a long time. I bet you can't walk around with a beer in a paper bag anymore either. The 80s were fun.
