Good morning Lounge
How are you today?

My interview yesterday went good. That is if you can call the 5 minute talk after waiting for 20 minutes call an interview
Anyways, he wants all the work permit papers like SS#, OK from my employer, Tax card and health insurance. Since he wants those papers I would say he will hire me. I will work 10 hours per week in the evenings. Once I get all the papers together I am going back and then we talk about the rest.

I appreciate it more and more, day after day.

May all the days of your life be moderately challenging,

9. Good morning!
Sounds like all went well at the interview

I spent all day yesterday worried about my dad. As of 7 last night they still hadn't done the angiogram :banghead: but he had to be ready for it at a moments notice. Plus, he caught a massive cold being in the hospital . The docs are ignoring the fact that he's completely lost his voice and can't breathe!

It is cold and rainy, but I refuse to turn the heat back on...

Have an awesome day, my friend. :loveya::hug:

Have a good day too!!!

Is this an additional job, in addition to your library "day" job? This could seriously cut into your balcony tanning time.

:hi:

Anyway, best of luck with it! (What is the new job?)

Yes, it is an additional job. In the evenings. And only 2 or 3 days a week. Sure, it will cut into my balcony tanning time but I still have my weekends :D And I will spend my vacation on my balcony this year.

I will work in a grocery shop. Not sure yet what exactly I will do.

17. Oh, that's very interesting.
I took on a part-time job for a while, and actually, at first it was kind of fun. I too had asked for limited hours, but then as people would call in sick, or not show up at all they would call me in because they were working short staffed. It got to the point were I was working a tremendous amount of hours so I finally decided that it just wasn't worth it and gave my notice.

Hope your job works out well, it really can be fun, a nice diversion, and a little extra income sure comes in handy.

18. I need the money
simple as that. And I will only work in the evening hours in that second job. It is a so-called mini-job. I want to afford things like vacation and projects at the condo. Also some clothes every now and then. It all costs money I don't have at the moment. I won't earn a lot in that mini-job but a bit is better than nothing.

22. Oh yes, the extra cash.
You'd be surprised, even though you're only working a few hours a week, how handy those few extra dollars will come in. The main reason I took on my part-time job was to save to go to Belize, which I did. That was my renewal of taking real vacations again.

OMG! There is snow on the ground (albeit light) and snow in the air. I'm wearing a turtle neck sweater to work with a cardigan over that. I'm reading these threads where people say it's so hot. Wish some of that could be sent my way.

I'm so sorry you tripped. :( Better stay off them both for a bit. When I hurt my foot last November, I was upset that it was the same one that I sprained the year before. Now I have two sore places on the same foot. But then I thought, that's not as bad as having two gimpy feet.

WOW! What a picture! That looks like such a nice place.

Yesterday I got a taste of why you love your balcony so much. It was a beautiful day and I was too tired to go down to the pool. So I sat on the balcony and read a book. Not the whole book, of course, so I can have more days like that. Drink by my side, feet up ... just great. **sigh**

Of course, I feel asleep after a while and woke to harleydad coming back from work and opening the door. It startled me because I didn't know he had gotten a key to the new room.

34. You could learn fast.
:9

Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince. I didn't read it when it came out because I didn't want to be in suspense for a year while I waited for the next one ... like I'd done for all the others. But it's been so long that I think I'll have to go back and read them in order to figure out what they're talking about.

I have not been able to read for some time. Couldn't concentrate enough. I'd turn the pages after reading the words, but if I looked up, I had no idea what I'd read. Thought I was losing my mind or something, but it turns out that I can still read if I don't have all that stress around me. That's good news! And I'm not the kind of person who can just start reading and let it relax me. I have to be relaxed first or it just doesn't work.

54. I'm well!
I have off today. I wish it wasn't raining. I need to wash and vacuum my car since I am meeting with the dealer tomorrow to discuss my expiring lease. I'm hoping the weather clears later today.

61. Sissy

I remember when I decided to sell my car I went to a car wash and had it thoroughly cleaned and waxed. The guy said "You didn't go to a car wash that often, huh?" ....

62. I am bad at cleaning my car.
I like live in my car. I am on the road a bit for work and it seems like everything just gets thrown in my car. All sorts of things. Sometime it's a mess, like it is now. I don't think I've vacuumed it in 2009 yet.

72. Can't complain
It looks like rain today, though. Oh, well - I'll have an excuse to remain in my pajamas today!!!
