The last of the Bedford Boys has passed.
During the D-Day invasion of France. A company of men from Bedford Virginia lost 19 of 35 men in the fighting. The highest loss of any city or town in the entire county.

2. Wow. I hadn't heard that. I feel so badly about that memorial
being so deeply in debt. I wish things had gone differently.
