I haz mad skillz in big trucks! |
|
After I did my road test (they changed it: no 45-degree back, but we had these maneuvers: left and right turns, 90 degree back, straight line drive, front stop and rear stop) the instructor asked, "you really get worried about road tests, don't you?" Well, yes I do, but I passed very nicely.

2. It looks very good, yeah |

Officially we're not hired until we pass the piss test, the driving test and the logbook test. I have piss, so I passed. I passed the driving test today, and the logbook test isn't going to be hard.

You'd have to restrict your purchases to what will fit in my sleeper (which is huge), but if I'm in your neighborhood? Yeah, I'd run you up there.

BTW I need to decorate my sleeper because if this thing is going to be my home away from home I've got to do SOMETHING in there to make it more homelike, and I can't do anything permanent like painting. (It has gray padded vinyl walls and ceiling with white plastic trim pieces, and a ceiling height of about seven feet.) Any ideas? I'm thinking of an Oriental motif, because Orientals have very small apartments and a sleeper definitely qualifies as such.

11. My first truck was an '89 peterbuilt cabover. |
|
I was cooling my heels in Dallas after training on the road for my first rig. One of their drivers got arrested and his truck was at a warehouse in cali. The company flew me there to take over this truck.
It was disgusting..it stank, food messes everywhere, and it was totally disgusting! But it was MINE!!!! So I tooke it to a truck stop in Sacremento and spent the day cleaninging it. Once I got it cleaned I called my dispatcher and got my first load and I was out of there!
I was only 22 at the time but I looked 17. I had a lot of fun with the lot lizards and the DOT seeing this baby faced driver. They would FLIP!!!
