My cat has discovered the joys of 'Lap Sitting' |
|
When I first got Abbie he wasn't too keen about the lap thing, but just this week his cattitude has changed.
Now he just adores sitting on my lap (Almost in a way like I'm cuddling a baby). He loves it when I massage his front paws and if I move my hands to type (like I am now), he tries to pull my hands back in so I can keep petting him.
How could I go without a cat ever again????

1. ah, I see he's learned 'soliciting', too |
|
massages for life now :)
I got mine into the habit of pawing me whenever she wanted petting, and it's the cutest thing, but it means I get the 3am paw on my face, too
and of course, she gets the 3am petting :)

That is so sweet. I just sat here and grinned. I have one like that out at the farm, the others tolerate me but this one does many things to get either me or the horses to groom him. That is just so sweet.

3. I'm so happy that Abbie has settled in so well. |
|
You two are meant for each other. As I type this, Ricky is stretched out on my lap and trying to help me type. It's so nice.... soothing...relaxing...
And I won't get any work done tonight. (OK, that's not Ricky's fault, but he's a convenient excuse for goofing off on DU.)

5. You should have seen him dancing |

I had a long day of work and get home with a damn CD in my mailbox. I had just cancelled my account with Columbia House but I guess I overlooked one of the CD which was Rocking at the Movies. Absolutely killer CD with great songs from the 80's.
So I'm soaking in my bubble bath in the tub listening to this CD on my portable CD player. The song "Da Butt" (who has a big ole butt) came on and I was just jamming and singing (while soaking in the tub.
So Abbie is perched right by the tub watching this big wet fool acting nuts (me). I'm jamming along to the song and wagging my finger back and forth. And Abbie starts bopping his head along with the direction I moved my finger. He looked like he was jamming away.
IT WAS ADORABLE!!!

7. Sammy used to sit on the edge of the tub while I soaked... |
|
and then he fell in one night. He doesn't perch on the edge of the tub anymore. He'll pull himself up and look at me, and maybe brush the water with his paw, but that's as close as he gets.
My sister has a cat who likes to swim -- in fact, she has to close the door when she draws a bath or Pearl will dive in.
What incredible critters they are!
