Poll question: Favorite Song on Revolver
Edited on Mon May-11-09 10:15 PM by BurtWorm

(I'm not including And Your Bird Can Sing, Doctor Robert and I'm Only Sleeping because they were not on the original US release, but you can vote for those using Other, of course)

My personal favorite: Tomorrow Never Knows

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whHvXovWXSQ

Turn off your mind, relax
and float down stream
It is not dying
It is not dying

Lay down all thought
Surrender to the void
It is shining
It is shining

That you may see
The meaning of within
It is being
It is being

That love is all
And love is everyone
It is knowing
It is knowing

That ignorance and hate
May mourn the dead
It is believing
It is believing

But listen to the
color of your dreams
It is not living
It is not living

Or play the game
existence to the end
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
Of the beginning

1. All of them.
A lot of folks lavish praise on Sgt Pepper, but this is probably the best album they ever made.

6. Agreed. This was the first album I asked for by name. I think I was 5 years old
I spent hours staring at that album cover.

5. I said Taxman, but it's really close
She Said & Got to Get You Into My Life might win on other days.

7. Another vote for Tomorrow Never Knows---also LOVE : And Your Bird Can Sing
from Yesterday and Today ; I assume we're talking American albums here...and I'm not sure I could pick a favorite album between those and Rubber Soul

8. Eleanor Rigby
I've always liked it since I heard it on the Today Show when they were previewing The Beatles' new animated movie, Yellow Submarine.

9. I love all of them.
Though I will say that Eleanor Rigby edges the others out slightly.

12. An excellent album.
I voted for "for no one" mostly because it's an absolutely brilliant song that most people don't remember, but the whole album was great.

13. It's funny, I have Revolver sitting here on my desk 'cuz I just downloaded it
and I'm noticing that almost all the songs on that album are just a little over two minutes long. I'm Only Sleeping and Love You To are the only ones over three minutes long.
