So last night I was in bed half asleep and I heard my mom scream
Apparently what had happened is that last night the dogs got ahold of a rat out on the porch. My mom thought the rat was dead, but when she went out later it was gone.

5 minutes ago my mom went back out with the dogs, and it was deja vu all over again.

Maddy was sniffing a dead rat out on the lawn.

I got a flashlight and looked at it, and it was a baby possum! Cool!

1. My mom was on heavy drugs after breaking her wrist. I slept over to be
there in case she woke up in the middle of the night. I heard here saying "get away" "go" "shoe". So I got up and woke her up telling her she was just dreaming. She agreed with me and told me she was dreaming about birds (which she is deathly afraid of). So we talked for a while. She seemed fine. I told her I was going to go back to bed and she said "take the emu with you when you leave". LOL!

2. "take the emu with you when you leave"

How long ago did she break her wrist? Is she okay now? (I know you mentioned this in a thread of mine)

3. She broke her wrist in early October. She had several pins and casts. Her tendon then snapped and
they had to operate on that. Her tendon snapped because she got an infection in the pin site. She's been without a cast for about 3 months. She's doing okay but her wrist is still pretty tender. She's 77 years old. I hope she never breaks anything again cause even though she never complained it was a long haul for her.

5. I didn't mean to hijack your thread.
Are the possums cute when they're little? I adore the grown ones even though they're ugly.
