I would never tell him this, but god, writing a resume is a LOATHESOME chore. :banghead:

Mrs. V. has only one working hand right now, so I took over the task. I texted him "can we talk tonight" and he replied "yeah, call me around 5:30 or 6:00" -- when I will be in the car. Prime resume-writing time! :)

It's a labor of love, though. I may bitch about this but I have no good reason to do so. This is something I can do and something that he needs done. From each according to his ability, to each according to his need - does that apply here?

Is your resume up to date? What was the last time you needed your resume?

2. My husband changes his quite often
more than once a week, depending upon what type of job he's applying for in his field. It's wise to update it every 6 months at the least.

4. I agree, but it makes me nervous as hell to do so.
I guess just because I have usually worked on resumes in a heightened state of anxiety.

5. Mine's totally out of date
I should really polish it up, I last prepared it to apply for my current job in autumn 2006 - the current job has added a fair bit to it (in the good way).

6. No.
Mine is not updated. But I've had the same job since graduating college. Went on a few interviews after graduation, and then was hired by my current employer.

7. Mine is reasonably up to date - I have to adjust it once a year for my review,
and every time we apply for a grant. However, I really don't have a resume, mine is a fancy-shmancy curriculum vitae...

11. Thanks for the reminder
I got some good news the other day that could be added to mine.

You're right, though - it is a painful, thankless, and time-consuming task.

12. I am happy to report that I no longer need one!
The last time I updated mine was 1994, when I got this teaching position.

After this, it's retirement, baby! :hi:
