1. It's hard to say without knowing her. |
|
Could you post a few things she's interested in? What are her hobbies? What knick-knack type things does she have in her bedroom (that's usually pretty revealing)? Favorite band or author?
I am pretty good at thinking up imaginative gifts, but you've got to give me something to work with here. :)

13. I have never bought a featherbed. |
|
If that's enough, buy her one.
If not, since she likes "girly" stuff, I would go down to the nearest spa and buy her a whole-day relaxation thing. A massage, a manicure, a pedicure, a facial, etc.
Girly types love that stuff. :D

18. I think you could get one of those down filled mattress pads for under $200 |
|
I don't know if that would work for a featherbed or not.

2. Something that shows personalized thought |
|
We unfortunately can't answer that for ya. The gift doesn't need to be extravagant - just unique and special to your girl. Trust me, it'll mean a whole lot more than some random but nice, typical commercial product.

6. Hide a bunch of little gifts around the house |
|
each with a love note attached. Make it a fun mystery-something she has to search for. Then I'd make her a great dinner and "celebrate".

19. well....build the entire day up in terms of anticipation of the "big" |
|
birthday event. For starters, give her a small gift for breakfast. Something that's under ten dollars, and then send her a bouquet of flowers at work when she arrives there. Also, order her favorite chinese food or whatever to be delivered to her workplace with a small note with it from you. When she arrives home, give her a nice massage, a couple glasses of wine, and make her favorite meal. Then after the meal, feel free to be a little "hokey" by bringing out a small piece of cake (or cheesecake) and sing happy birthday to her. Then bring out the biggest gift of them all which could be the featherbed or totally kickass bath stuff. ;-)
Or you can always make the end of the night go off with a bang by testing out that new featherbed....

22. For a featherbed check out overstock.com. |
|
They have some great ones, CHEAP. They also have really low shipping.
I order from them a lot - and one of their featherbeds is one of the things I have my eye on. Already got a down comforter and some down pillows from there. Featherbed is next on the list.
Damn - I KNEW I wished I were a lesbian. I never get neato stuff like featherbeds on MY birthday! :-(

and - lol - I need to get me one of them "wives" - 31 years old and haven't foung anything even CLOSE to resembling a "husband" yet.... :D
But seriously - overstock is an AWESOME website. One of my faves - you would do well getting a featherbed there, as it will increase your spending power and allow you to get her something else totally cool with the remainder of your $200.
