You're in your mid-20s, which decade -- out only these two -- would you go back and live?
Me? I was a child of the 90s. All my memories are tied to the 90s. I loved the 90s, but I've got to admit the feel of the 80s trumps what I lived through. It's probably like that for every generation, though. Those who were born in the mid-to-late 90s probably will think the 90s were far better than the 00s. Those born in the mid-to-late 70s probably feel the 70s were better than the 80s, right?
I think that's how it works, anyway.
Or you could just go with the Dazed and Confused theory, where every other decade sucked.
They thought the 70s sucked, so that meant the 80s rocked, the 90s sucked and we're living in the awesomeness of the 00s.

4. Ah yes...I did eventually have to move out of my 20s. |
|
I was 33 when the calendar flipped from the 90s to the 00s. :)

3. My "20s" occurred during the 1990s. |
|
I'd rather be in my 20s during the early 1980s; not sure why.

5. Well my 20s are happening now. Sucks for me. |
|
At least the early 90s had good music, some good movies and Bill Clinton.
Oh well, I get Pres. Obama. :D
1980s, though, was just awesome.
I think I got on a 80s kick when I watched an old Monstervision Friday the 13th marathon that aired originally on Halloween in 1998.

9. It's all I remember too and maybe that's why I look fondly back at the 80s? |
|
Since I don't actually remember much about it! The only memory I have are the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul and wondering why the East German divers/swimmers had hair under their arms.

I only remember events in my life that pertained to me and family. I can't be bothered to care for the 80s, it looked like a crappy decade fashion and political-wise

16. Ha. I just remember sitting under my grandma's table. |
|
Which is where I sat in the kitchen to watch television.
It was weird. I was really young, though. I think that actually might be one of my first memories.

I like the music better and shudder at the thought of me wearing tons of Aqua Net and shoulder pads. I'm in my mid 20's now and I gotta say this decade kinda blows

10. This decade has not been a good one. |
|
I won't miss it.
I don't think we'll ever look fondly back at the 00s as being a turning point culturally.
In fact, it might be the lamest decade since the 1950s.

13. Hell even the 1950s had the birth of rock and roll... |
|
that was an exciting and new cultural phenomenon...now all we got is facebook, which don't get me wrong I love my facebook but it sort of pales in comparison to the first time Elvis shook his hips on tv excitement wise.

11. My first choice would be the 60's, but my next choice is the 70's.... |
|
though a small child in the 60's, it was not too bad of an era for me anyway. The 70's were also alright. The 80's were not too bad, the 90's I was too busy raising babies to notice if it was a great decade or not.

12. Yeah, which is why I said mid-20s. |
|
Because I think your 20s is the best time to enjoy a decade. You're not too busy with life and such.
But if you don't recall the 90s because of that, then I guess you can't vote, eh? :P

15. I loved the pop culture of the 80's... |
|
...but I would not go back and live through the rest of it, since my life was pretty traumatic at the time. I think I'd have more economic opportunities re-living the 90's and doing it right, this time. I kinda squandered the decade away. Should not have gone back to school. Ah well.

The whole 80s was just UGLY. And so were the early 90s, but around the advent of the internet things started getting better.
