Recent pictures by me (dialup warning)
I post a lot of pictures I find of cats and dogs, etc. that I find on the internet. Even when I explain that, somebody always asks, "Is that your cat?"

Well, all these were taken either in my office or on a recent trip to Decatur 30 miles down the road.
And, yes, that is my cat. :)

4. Texas Plaza - Decatur TX

I love places like this. As the Gas Station sign implies, the whole thing is covered with petrified wood. I stumbled on this the other day - the sign in the window indicated that the cafe is open for lunch, weekdays, so I am headed back to investigate the history of this slice of Americana.

6. Thanks
She has the greenest eyes sometimes. Sometimes they look yellow in photos.

I think the bird is a scissor tail flycatcher. They are the state bird of Okla. I think. We had a laot of them at our place in the Texas Hill country (central Tx) It was a kind of gray day. The bird had a little more colr than that, but it just sat there on a telephone guywire until I had the camera put up.

It does look like a mockingbird in shape and color - except for the tail. I love to see them dancing over a grassy area looking for grasshoppers.

8. Just prior to his she had been hanging he head
AND paw across my arm. She assumes this pose only with the express understanding that I will NOT touch the paw!!!

I thank you, and Patches thanks you for the compliment.
