I helped the a/c guy put this heavy ass coil back in my attic air handler. It's gotta be 200 degrees up there.
Jesus. I'm gonna lose 10 lbs doing this. I gotta give credit to hard working folks like him that do this stuff every single day.

3. This is day 3 of The Great flvegan A/C Repair of 2009. |
|
First guy cleaned and checked levels, replaced a switch. Second guy did the diagnostic. This guy came out to pull the coil, clean it (which, btw, the first guy said was fine because he looked at it from the wrong side :eyes:) and put it back. That thing was nasty, too. Covered in crap. The whole job (knock wood that this will take care of it) is going to total somewhere north of $900.

9. Get AC fixed in winter |
|
It's cooler and you don't pay the summer rates. I have my guy check ours every Jan. Costs a lot less than what he charges in summer.

BTW, the other night I said you ought to get sleeves. And you didn't argue. I'm taking that as a firm commitment and updating my dirty mental pictures appropriately.

I have to put in AC this weekend, 90 degree temps are on their way....
I would love to buy a huge freezer someday, and just sleep/live in there during the summer time, this Alaskan fogey wasn't built for the humidity/heat of the midwest.
