There are many ways to meet your end. This is one of the most horrible I can think of.

Those Africanized bees are real bastards. I don't generally advocate eradicating a species, but it would be OK with me if they vanished.

Man, 89, dies weeks after being swarmed by bees

FORT WORTH, Texas -- An 89-year-old man who was attacked by a swarm of more than 300 bees while mowing the lawn has died.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office ruled the death of Audie Herriott an accident caused by complications from bee stings. Herriott died at a Lewisville nursing home late Sunday.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that Herriott's wife found him on the porch May 2 after he was attacked by bees outside his home in Hamilton, about 115 miles south of Fort Worth.

Herriott had managed to get off his riding mower and walk to the house.

2. they make me a little nervous too
I got swarmed a couple years ago. They got in my hair and stung me about 15 times. Glad I was right out my front door and could get inside.

A couple weeks ago I was working on some fence and had walked a ways from the truck. I got up near a tree and kept hearing this intense buzzing. Saw a couple bees hovering around a hole and thought uh oh (I'm fat and have bad knees - I do NOT run very fast!) Kept waiting to see a bunch come pouring out of that tree, but they never did and the ones I sow finally flew off - I guess they were scouting.)

The horror stories are just that - if you look it up there have been a few deaths but almost all were people doing stupid shit like tearing hollow walls down to get rid of the bees! Like morons who get bit by rqattlesnakes ... while they are playing with them.
