One Miserable Cat. (photos - no grossness, just a little sad)

Here's my Miranda Rat Face as we dropped her off at the vet yesterday. The foot is broken. What you can't see is the long jagged line of stitches from under her right front leg down and across to about the bottom of her rib cage. My poor boo boo. :cry:

I hope she heals quickly. How long does she have to stay at the vets?

10. We'll pick her up on Saturday.

It's the best place for her to be. They know how to take care of her. They will watch her wounds carefully. They can give her her meds, whereas we'd botch the job so badly I'm afraid we'd tear her stitches. (Pain or not, she's a wriggling pro.) And she has nothing but rest. She'll be bored, but she'll be well on her way to healing.

11. I hadn't thought about that.

It would be hard to hold her and medicate her with the location of her stitches. Poor girl. I hope she mends quickly. How long did they say for her leg to heal? I think our kitty had his wrap on his foot for a month or so after it was dislocated. I assume 6 weeks since it's broken? Gosh, she must be hurting. Hope they have some good kitty pain meds.

Ouch. Poor Rat Face. In that second photo it looks like Ms. Miranda is plotting her escape.

The only thing I can figure is that she may have thrashed to get out of the barbed wire and caught it in something. It's cut as well as broken. :(
