I have been so disconnected from the internets for the past weeks

I've only been doing hit and run posting here, and I haven't logged into facebook in almost a month! It has been a long time since I've really sat down and had time to really read and catch up on anything.

I feel sort of left out. I don't know what's going on, or why. I'm sorry I'm not keeping in touch better.

2. My life sucks

I have a mammogram scheduled for next week to check on the swollen lymph nodes Mayo found. I fought my insurance company and got my interferon a week late..So really..Nothing that new..
Glad to see you back Thom, though.

The mammogram is new though. I hope it doesn't turn up anything serious. You really don't need anything new on your plate. :hug:

I love being in the new place. The move was pretty brutal though. And unpacking is taking forever.

The ramp was too steep and I got hurt the first time I used it, so they had to tear it down and rebuild it. But the bottom section was still too steep. So now they are tearing that out again and re-pouring it a second time. I've had to use crutches for the little bit of walking I needed to do while I can't get in or out in the wheelchair, and I seriously hurt my arms and chest because of it. I can't hold myself up for long on crutches anymore. :(

Once the ramp is finally fixed this place will be home. :)

But the landlord thinks he knows better than anyone who really does know what they're doing, so everything takes a few tries to get done right. :P

But, yes, I hope it's finally done right this time. I can't walk on crutches anymore. My arms and chest can't take it anymore, so I'm stuck at home now. In the meantime, I have stuff to do piling up.

I'm sorry you were suspended. It must have been a duzy of a dust-up. I'm very glad you're weren't tombstoned, and I'm glad you are back. :hug:

I should be getting back into internet radio again. I used to listen to music all the time, but I got out of the habit because of the constant migraines. Now that I'm out of the toxic apartment and the migraines are abating, hopefully I can listen to music again. :loveya:

The kitties are doing pretty well, adjusting to the new place, not liking the presence of JennaLaw's dogs but handling it well. :)

I'm spending a LOT of time every day soothing each animal, keeping the peace and making sure everyone plays nice. It's nice that I'm home all day.

I'm having my first group of friends come over tomorrow for a social occassion. It's my first RPG gaming day in years. I now have the space, and an open, bright enough place to host it. Geez, you would think I live in a real home or something. :)

I hope that properly sloped ramp is finished soon. Most people have no idea how long ramps need to be to achieve the proper slope. At least your landlord is trying.:hug:

I gave the landlord the ADA specs the ramp needed to match before he started, and one of the guys building it proposed the best and and safest way to do it right from the beginning. But that would have involved taking out a window and adding a new door on the side of the house.

The landlord wanted it to be short and only involve the minimum space in front of the house, so he insisted that a steeper ramp wouldn't be a problem. And he knew best because "I've seen steeper ramps in lots of places." :eyes:
