I just donated blood this morning, and one beer was enough to give me a buzz.

I said I'd pass on the stupid juice and cookie prize and started to get the hell out of there for a smoke when I heard them say "If you smoke don't have a cigarette for about an hour". Whaaaa, I thought, as I was heading right out to have one. Which, after dismissing this cautionary advice as breezily as I had the sugars which it turns out had a purpose beyond rewarding citizenship in a corny way, I did. I lit up and took a drag and my knees disappeared from under me. I blacked out. In fact I had to be helped by a student. I had to try, it seems.
