Rats! I was supposed to cook dinner tonight

for my new boyfriend here at my house. Very relaxed just the two of us.

We're both serious foodies so I had this delish meal all worked out.

He's a Sys Admin and had to take a tech support call.

I understand, being lately in IT myself, but still, of all nights..... :grr:

I'm just bummed. And no, pizza is too heavy for me this time of year.

Appetizer:

Tart Tatin of sliced roma tomatoes and fresh goat cheese topped with fresh basil from my kitchen garden.

Main course:

Jerked chicken ( ;-) )

Herbed salad greens with radishes, bell peppers, and spring onions.

Wild rice medley.


Dessert:

Angel food cake topped with fresh sliced strawberries in a little brown sugar and home made semi-sweet chocolate ganache.
