but it's awfully close.

Howard just mugged Kobe,
and Kobe missed the free throw!
Damn! Kobe is hitting himself.

The Lakers are getting beat up and it shows.

Lakers 101 - Orlando Magic 104

12. Final Score-

Los Angeles Lakers 104 - Orlando Magic 108

Magic hit 62.5%- best record.

Lakers missed some great chances to get ahead.

Congrats to Magic.

It was one hell of a game.

14. The Lakers beat themselves
The free throw line made the difference. Kobe was uncharacteristically cold from the line, and Gasol didn't get a double-double because of poor rebounding. And give Rashard his due - he was hot from the outside, as is his wont.

And truly, considering that the Tragic had an enormous shooting percentage, they are lucky to have escaped with a narrow victory. Normally when a team shoots 75% or thereabouts, they win by 20+ points.

My original prediction was Lakers in 6. For now, I stand by that. Next game should be realllllly interesting.

15. 63% and no blowout?
No worries here :-)

Kobe will be on fire Thursday. Good game though and the Magic did what they had to.
