Weirdest thing just happened re: credit card. |
I received a message on my machine urging me to call the Fraud Department of one of my credit card companies, and when I called them back, I just got a screeching message saying this line was not in existence.

2. The message was phone spam in an attempt to get your account information. |
The authorities were alerted by someone who also received the spam, and by the time you phoned it, they shut the number down. :hi:

Never call them back at the given number. Always use the number on the back of the card itself. They can transfer you to the fraud dept, and you know its actually them.

4. If the fraud dept is concerned, they'll simply turn off the card |
I know this from personal experience. I had to order a new one.

5. Did you ask them how they were giving you the message if |
this line was not in existence? That IS weird. I'd call the actual credit card company and let them know.
