Everything is breaking- And just think, the next round of ARMs is coming due.
In the last 6 months: (Things I've needed to replace)

Our minivan crapped out and all we could afford was a smaller car. (I have four kids) I'm just thankful we could get ANY kind of transportation.

Our TV broke, and when I went to go look for a second hand one- the shops/people were selling them for more than a brand new one.

Our Vacuum broke, and I have three dogs :(

Washer and dryer gave up the ghost after 10 good years of service.

Last night- Our dishwasher broke, and we had to vacuum it out with a dryvac to keep it from stagnating.

This morning...My air conditioner stopped up, and even after vacuuming it out it barely blows.

Btw: I'm in NC, and it's going to get in the 90's today. Thankfully, with all the curtains pulled and the fans going I can keep my house at about 79. It's the humidity that's killing us. No air conditioner = no dehumidifier.

We are completely tapped out, My kids started moaning and groaning until I lost it and said "Guess what, we can wash dishes by hand until we either get the DW fixed or can afford a new one. So be ready for wrinkled fingers for a few weeks."

So, I'm grumpy sticky and hot today. I'm going to make sun tea instead of regular because of the steam that comes from the pot. I'm going to finish covering the windows and we will remain cave people. I will have EVERYONE take a nap this afternoon, and they can play after the sun goes down (We have floodlights)- and it's going to be cold chili and crackers for dinner.

We are a family that SHOULDN'T be struggling right now, my husband has his retirement plus salary...we have military medical and are able to shop at the commisary. If this is happening to us, I can't imagine the difficulties people who were already in trouble are facing. When the next round of ARMs comes due, I get this sinking feeling we are all going to fall flat on our faces.

I wonder how the people who said "Just let the depression happen already" are feeling?
