Have you ever had trouble being satisfied with what you've got? |
|
Most of the time I'm happy with what I've got. But there are times, like now, when I feel like I have to have more. Everything I have is paid for except for my condo, and the condo is really inexpensive. I could afford a much bigger place. So, at times like these I will contact my aunt, who is a realtor, and ask her to look for houses for me. I'll probably just end up staying here, but there are some really good deals out there right now. It's hard for me to resist.
I also have a 2002 Chevy S-10 that's paid off and still in good condition. But I've found myself looking over the classifieds for a new vehicle. I work for a car parts distributer and I can get employee discounts on new cars. There are some really good deals out there right now for cars, too, and that makes it harder to resist.
I'm trying to talk myself down. I have everything I need, but I just have a desire for bigger and better things. I've got a feeling I'm not alone in that regard, and the reason we are in a tough economy right now is because of people just like me feeling that need to get more and more stuff and then defaulting on their loans. They've lived right on the financial edge and a job loss pushed them over. Or lack of foresight on an adjustable rate mortgage ruined them.
Now excuse me while I go check out craigslist. :D

1. I have the cure for that condition. |

Start reading the economy forum. If that doesn't scare the money back under your mattress, nothing will. All the money news that the MSM refuses to tell us.
