In quiet moments here at DU, do you roam around and look at the locked threads? |

I enjoy looking at that column on the left....scrolling down the page to find that little padlock icon.
I become fascinated to see what threads were locked, why threads were locked, and which threads become combined or moved. It is interesting that the threads are locked, but are allowed to remain in view, rather than simply being removed.

1. I usually do it in the "noisy" moments at DU |
|
That's how I figure out what is going on, its like playing Rockford Files" or some such. Times were when GD had the best locksmithing in town.

2. I have done that from time to time |

but, by then everything has been picked through and deleted and I miss half of what the locked thread was about to begin with !
Unless it turns out to be just a sex thread or something.

3. It leaves a certain sense of mystery when one sees "Deleted Subthread" |
|
One wonders what was said, or to try to frame context for any remaining replies.

8. I go to the front discussion page, click "Search" |
|
then click "Simple Search" and keyword "locking"
You have to skip LBN, but it's a veritable cornucopia of brilliance and idiocy. All the locks, all the time. No scrolling needed.
You're welcome.

Although there is something peaceful about finding the padlocks amid a list of unlocked threads.
Thanks!

If the locked ones are on the first page, I looked through them, but I don't go searching for locked threads beyond Page 1.
