1. My dear Haole Girl...
You are not alone...

I've had it too...

It sucks, big time.

It actually scares me, it happens so rarely...

I wish it were rare for you too, sweetie...

3. Thanks Peggy
After so many years of working the late shift, it doesn't take much at all for me to go back to staying up late. I don't know how I'm going to function at work tomorrow (today). :-( It's not the Lounge drama, btw... other stuff.

2. After a few decades, you'll get used to it
I have.

I hope you do not have to get use to it, though. I wish I had advice that worked.

Hope you don't have a job where you have to be alert.

15. LOL! I used to breed and train horses - maybe that is why I had so many injuries
I've pretty much had insomnia since I was a teenager, though now that I am basically retired I suspect that my personal sleep schedule is from 3-4 AM to noon, since that is when I sleep the best. Of course, when running a farm, you need to be up at dawn, so that didn't work well for me. I've spent most of my life sleep deprived.

Over the last ten years I've had a number of injuries and health issues that contribute to insomnia. I get caught up when I am recovering from operations or under treatment, but that doesn't last long. Right now, I am still on extra strength vicodin for a shoulder operation and it doesn't knock me out before about 2 AM no matter what time I take it. And I am dropping off of it now that the pain is manageable.

17. Thanks! It's healing and I had a good surgeon
He totally rebuilt my left shoulder fifteen years ago and this one was only a little worn out, not torn to hell and back like the other one. I'm at the point where it is getting better, but I still am not allowed to use it so it is frustrating. But after hurting for 18 months, I'm used to it and it can only get better from here.

Take care of that insomnia - see if you can work up a routine that will help. That is what people always told me!

31. I had a camp counselor way back when who made a kid take a mouthful of
shampoo after cursing. Then, I guess the counselor felt bad or wanted to know what it was like or something, so he gulped down a huge swig and spent the whole night puking. The rest of us thought it was fucking hilarious...

I work at a brainless job (retail). I just drink large amounts of Monster energy drink and 5 Hour Energy.

28. Stayed home
It wasn't for lack of trying. All the flights, to anywhere I wanted to go, were very, very full.

Did have a couple of very nice rides, though. I was happy.

29. I refuse to call it insomnia.
As many people as there are who hate mornings, the argument could be made that humans are supposed to be nocturnal. I know I am. I'm a night owl from the word, "Go." I don't have insomnia. I like the nightlife. I like to boogie...
