My ferret has a foot fetish.
I've let him out of his cage to play and, like he normally does, he's settled in for a period of 'play with Paddy's toes'; he nibbles, he licks, he hold them and moves them, but he never bites them hard enough to hurt. He does this to all 10 of my toes.

Does he need counseling, or is this normal ferret behavior? ;)

1. I think this is normal

Never been around a ferret with bare feet but
My cousin has one and it runs around all crazy and it chases your feet. I think they think it's a toy or ball or something like that.

What is your ferret's name?

6. Oh, he's so cute
My only problem with them is that the really smell. How do you keep it clean and from not smelling so much.

7. They really don't smell if you take care of them.
They have a minor, musky-perfumey odor - but it's certainly not offensive.

I have 3 - and as long as their ears are clean, their litter boxes are cleaned, and their bedding is rotated and washed regularly they have very little smell.

The ears are really important - they get the grossest brown crud in their ears - and much of their smell comes from that.

9. I guess the key is to clean, clean, clean
Green apple must smell nice on a ferret!

How long have you had him? Any other pets?

14. Cool a mouse
I love pets, I wish I had more. Me and my man have a chinchila, three fish and a snail. We use to have a frog but he ate all the fish!

10. You get used to that musky smell and if you have other pets
it is quite distinctive. Humans smell too ya know. Looking at your pictures brings tears to my eyes. We had many good years. Anyone that knows me knows that I am a sucker for animals - I have at least 6 ferral cats having din-din in my driveway right now. I try to catch the ones I can. No animal should go hungry.

3. Ferrets are wonderful!
I got Ziggy and Zelda in 1983 when I moved east. My younger son was still drinking a bottle. They had free reign of the house and would take the bottle - they love the nips - and hide them. They are notorias pack rats. When I finally located the ba-ba's, the milk was rock solid hard. We also had a lab mix puppy - Ziggy would latch onto his nose and not let go. They also loved my younger son's ear lobes (what a fetish?) and while he was sleeping, Zelda would latch onto his ears. Zelda was an albino and Ziggy was a silver. I lost them both in the early 90's but still remember them with love and smiles.

5. awww...
They sound like they were sweet. Waldo is a big baby, when he finally runs down, he likes nothing better than being cuddled while having his tummy rubbed. :)
