2. Forkboy is so bashful he has to blindfold himself to take a shower.
3. As a child, Forkboy took over control of the universe for about 3 hours; then ceded power back to Rabrrrrrr and my cat.
4. Forkboy has a nearly complete collection of Pokemon.
5. Forkboy once had a raging fling with Angelina Jolie. When he broke it off she was so desolate she had to console herself with Brad Pitt and a bunch of adopted babies.

The rest are, of course, very much the truth, especially if you change "pokemon" to "Godzilla", and remove the word "nearly".

And I didn't really mean to hurt Angelina, but she doesn't like hockey OR black metal, so I had to dump her useless ass. :)

10. Hey, SO. I can come up with 5.
When I was 13, I was my town's Mayor for one full day.

I had direct ancestors that arrived on The Mayflower.

I've never done/touched/smoked/taken any sort of illegal drug (don't care what other folks do, though).

I'm allergic to dogs.

I'm petrified of heights unless I'm on my snowboard or mountainbike, at which point for some odd reason, I just don't care.

Come to think of it, that last one is really bizarre having just now thought of it.

21. I think it's either the adrenalin, or it's being in the moment.
Been like that since I was a kid (with the bike thing). Terrified of heights, but no ramp ever scared me. One of the areas I ride now goes around a chasm/sinkhole, and you're just inches away from it. No bother. I can't do any real board tricks in a half pipe, but dropping in is still a 25 or 30 foot almost straight drop, and when you air off the lip, you're 20 feet from the bottom. I also can't do much off a snow ramp, but I can huck a 360 maybe 60% of the time and I love the thought of flying for just that 5 seconds, 20 feet up. Weirdest thing.

Maybe I'm just nuts.

I had tons of friends that used to smoke pot and they never did anything stupid. But I also knew people in HS that did cocaine and extacy and they did some real scary things and I was the only one to be there to save them. I never could understand how they could be dumb enough to do that in the first place.

Although I started drinking HS and still do to this day and I only smoke cigarettes when I drink.

14. Why not?
All four of my grandparents were immigrants from Sicily but I had to take Italian in school to learn the language (besides swearing).
After four years at an all-girls Catholic school (complete with uniform), I was unable to wear navy blue for about 10 years.
I was tone deaf until the age of 12, then suddenly I had a singing voice--like, overnight.
Three of the houses I've lived in have had ghosts.
I enjoy all four seasons equally and wouldn't want to live anywhere that didn't have all four.

She was "my" first pet. When I moved out on my own, I got her from a boyfriend. She was a 6-wk old golden retriever/mutt. She was my shadow for 9 1/2 years and my best friend. She was there when I got married and had two of my three kids. I still wear her picture in a locket around my neck. Silly, I guess. She's been gone 9 years now.

My Grandparents have always called me "number 1" which really pisses my cousins off. I think it is hilarious and sign all cards/gifts/emails as "number 1".

One Easter my cat killed my pet rabbit when we were leaving for church which was very tramatic at the time.

I raised goats for FFA in high school. I really miss the goats. My favorite was Bubba who would suck your thumb so cute.

My grandpa was the President of the 1st bank in Houston who had a drive up teller line and my Grandma and Uncle were the actors in the commercial.

I train all my cats I have ever had like dogs and they act like both cats and dogs so it is a win, win and so cute!

1. I lived in Spain for three years. Moved there 10 days after Franco died, and left the very day the people of Spain voted to ratify their constitution - the same one they live under presently.

2. I moved so often, I attended 3 different schools in 6th grade, in two countries, on two continents, and in two states.

3. My 3x-great-grandfather fought at Gettysburg in the Civil War, and survived Pickett's Charge. I am a major donor to the Gettysburg Foundation, which helped fund the battlefield's new visitor's center, and does lots of preservation and restoration work (which also means shooing away Wal-Mart, cell phone towers, etc.).

4. I wear the wedding band which belonged to my great-grandfather, who immigrated from Poland 100 years ago. We have the flag given to him at Ellis Island, and the one he received when he became a citizen over a decade later. The former has 46 stars (rare - only in effect for 5 years), and the latter, the longstanding 48-star flag.

5. I was 17 when Mario Cuomo delivered his electrifying keynote speech at the 1984 Democratic Convention. I knew then and there where I stood. I wasn't old enough to vote against Reagan, but I have fought like hell against him and the Republicans ever since that night.

70. Let's try this
1. I have an interesting set of grandparents. My paternal grandfather wrote two books which are quite well known in the country I live in (and which are widely used as a historical source in schools and universities here) about growing up during World War I. My paternal grandmother was a leading female academic in her subject long before the era of sex discrimination had ended. My maternal grandfather lived in South East Asia, survived the Japanese Occupation of the country (during which he was imprisoned by the Japanese for a short period of time) and later became the target of an assassination plot by the communists. My paternal grandmother had to go and plead for my grandfather's release to the local Japanese Police Chief (which was quite an intimidating experience, although she proved successful). Both my maternal grandparents met Mahatma Gandhi individually

2. I lived in South East Asia for the first ten years of my life and grew up experiencing and enjoying the different lifestyles, cultures and religions.

3. I became interested in history and politics at the age of 8 just as the Berlin Wall was coming down, Nelson Mandela was being released and the Persian Gulf War started. I think that motivated my continuing interest in the subject.

4. I used to be a Republican in my early political life and, at the age of 10, wrote a letter to then ex-President Ronald Reagan telling me him how great he was. I also looked up to George HW Bush as a father figure and supported Clarence Thomas during his confirmation proceedings. Looking back, I'm not sure how I could ever have liked such a creep as Clarence Thomas and it is beyond me what I ever saw in him

5. I am very nostalgic for all things to do with the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. In a different world, I would have been born in the 1950s and would have enjoyed all those decades. I liked everything -the fashions, the culture -just everything -from those decades. By contrast I think this decade (apart from Obama and our Prime Minister) has largely represented the worst of everything

especially for the 60's. I grew up in San Francisco, far too late for the Haight Ashbury days, but with still enough information about them through the city and my older brothers to feel a fond kind of kinship.

2. From my father's side of the family, I could carry a title of nobility, because some of my ancestors were idiotic enough to join the Third Crusade. My crest still shows two lions and a heart.
3. When I was ten, I shot myself and my mom on her birthday. We spent two weeks in the same hospital room together. Happy Birthday, mom! BANG! (Yes, it was an accident. Don't let kids play with real guns!)
4. I, like flvegan, am also terrified of heights. Strange thing is, it has gotten worse the older I got, wasn't afraid of it when I was a kid.
5. When I was a teen, I had several snakes, tarantulas, lizards and scorpions as pets. We also always had cats and dogs.

108. There's a story to why he's called Lucy .....
I always wanted a cat that I could call out "Lucy, I'm home" like Ricky Riccardo did. About 8 years ago my neighbor found a black stray kitten. she couldn't keep it & offered it to me. She said she was very sweet so I named her Lucy. We cuddled up for our first night together. In the morning she rolled over & stretched & showed off a rather large set of balls. When I went back to the neighbor & asked her WHY did she think it was a girl, she said the cat sat down when it peed so she thought it was a girl!
And the moral of this little tale(tail)--is always check under the hood when you're buying a used car!

1.I've been, for as long as I can remember, plagued with self doubt so extreme that a college counselor once told me I had the lowest self-esteem score she'd ever seen on the battery of psychological tests she'd given me.
2.I graduated high school at the age of 16, from what was (allegedly, at that time)considered to be one of the academically highest rated high schools in the U.S.
3.During the Vietnam war, my draft lottery number was 15, was called in for an Army physical etc, and I spent 8 hours in the induction center before an Army shrink told me " In my opinion, you are unfit for military service" ( what can I say, the man was an excellent judge of character, and BTW, no way was I going to Vietnam; I had all the logistics in place for an escape to Canada if it came to that)
4.I was once asked by the Rolling Stones' sax player if I wanted to replace him for a European tour with another band he was playing with on the side.( they ended up getting somebody else though)
5.Among my college buddies were a Pulitzer Prize winning NY Times reporter, Bill Clinton's Chief of Staff, and the guy that is the author of the words "tough actin' tinactin".
