Real rock and roll; not pop singing fluff.

1. There are still some good ones out there.
I am going to see Adler's Appetite (former Gunsnroses drummer) on Wed, Meat Puppets on Friday and House of Large Sizes on Saturday. I'd take any of those bands over Huey and Co.

3. A lot of what Green Day does is straight rock & roll
A lot of what Huey Lewis does borders on adult contemporary.

4. My dear Deja Q!
I don't know if they were the last great rock and roll band--but I always loved their sound!

Great hard rocking songs!

Loved 'em!

6. Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste
But when "Sports" came out in '83, I think they really came into their own--commercial and artistically.

8. They're rock and roll in the same way that urine-soaked sawdust is food.

10. THey were a bar band on SanPablo Avenue in Berkeley in
the mid 70's right before their record - they were really great live.

One really tight stage band.

12. I saw them live
Early 80s sometime... I forget exactly what year but... It was at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Orange County NY. One of the best live shows I've ever seen.
