"Postcard from Cherry Grove"
Ira's fed up with it here: he's already pricing rentals for next year in The Pines. All night, the Ice Palace's eternal disco hits haunt our sleep--a heartbeat out of Poe, and telltale as the three lesbians who, week before last, broke the railing they were leaning against and landed on the boardwalk below the club. They were drunk and (of course) survived without a scratch. Water taxis are still a thrill: they make me feel like Marilyn in Some Like it Hot. Which reminds me: we're having great sex, but only after terrible fights. A drag queen is screaming as I write this: "You bitch!"

Well, this is a different point of view...
I like it!
It opens the door to a way of life that I have no familiarity with...
And it does so poetically.
