CNN BREAKING, LONDON: "Phony Beatlemania Has Bitten The Dust"

CNN, LONDON - CNN's London Bureau received a call early this morning from a man identifying himself as Mick Jones, who said "Hello, CNN? London calling. Phony Beatlemania has bitten the dust." He added that he also had no swing except for the ring of that truncheon thing, which led the CNN staffer taking the call to ask "What's all this then?"

When asked for his comments, former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney issued a terse three-word statement through his press secretary: "Bite me, mate."

Ringo Starr could not be reached for comment.
