What's for dinner, DU? --- Thursday edition
And final OP for me on this topic.

We're going to friends' house for dinner and I have no idea what the menu will be.

My lunch was leftover fancy, schmancy, pretentious fare.

4. I'm going to be a total slug. A frozen DiGiorno's Supreme pizza. Tarted up with a few
extra mushrooms and peppers. My dinner companion is supplying her choice of dessert.

5. Hey, once you throw on the toppings it's been elevated quite a bit.
Frozen pizza has a place in most households.

6. Thanks. You're too kind. The lady likes pizza. I don't know from pizza.
I've basically lived on an Atkins diet for years, well before I ever heard of the name. I'm not big on carbs, but this is a very nice lady. And so I'm trying pizza. Along with some chianti; also her choice. I'm interested in what she'll bring for dessert ....

18. In hot weather I walk around for a bit in an air-conditioned store
and get in the mood for beef stew, or some other wintry fare, then go out the door into 95-110º F summer temps and can only think of eating fruit, vegetables, a bit of dairy, some whole grains. We eat variations on a theme of Salade Niçoise, chef salad, or Shrimp Louis, fairly often because DH and son expect animal protein.
