11. You have to look at when most of these laws were passed...

...and the level of enforcement there has bene in the last few years. They are called "Blue Laws" and in most cases haven't been enforced in 20 years or more. It costs more money and effort than it is worth to have them repealed. On the rare occassion where some of the dumber ones actually do get used they are almost immediately repealed through legal channels. Not always, but most of the time.
