GAH! I had a beer that tasted like eggs! |
|
Another thread mentioning dining at Disney World reminded me of my last visit there 2 years ago. The brewpub/restaurant there had some hefeweizen on the menu that sounded good. I ordered a glass. The mofo tasted like eggs! WTF?!?!?!

2. The only hefeweizen I'm familiar with is from Shiner, Texas |
|
and it's never tasted like eggs. So, I would also guess it's something to do with Disney.

3. Near as I can tell, it was an old batch. |
|
Or that's what a brewmaster friend of mine tells me. He said hefe's can develop some fairly weird tastes when they go off, but that he'd never heard of egg tastes before.

5. Depends on the beer the eggs taste like..... |
|

6. Sounds like the beer needed more time to brew... |
|
Check out this discussion: http://www.realbeer.com/discussions/showthread.php?t=17531We went to the brewpub at Disney a few years ago, too. I don't remember what I had, except that it wasn't particularly memorable. It was better than Busch, though.

8. Huh, looks like homebrewers have their own acronyms: RDWHAHB |

"Relax, Don't Worry, Have A Homebrew"
It's a lot friendlier than FOADIAFYMFPOS, but I just don't see it being as useful... ;)

Disney , I’m so Disney my head is spinning Like a whirlpool it never ends And it’s You beer makin’ it spin You're making me Disney
First time that I saw You beer, I knew that I just had to make You mine But it’s so hard to swallow You with taste of egg hangin’ round You all the time I want You for my sweet brew, but You keep commin' back out I’m going round in circles all the time
Disney, I’m so Disney my head is spinning Like a whirlpool it never ends And it’s You beer makin’ it spin You're making me Disney
I finally got a swig of You and I told You just exactly how I felt Then I held You close to me and drank You and my gut began to retch Beer You've got control on me,cuz I’m so Disney I can't see I need to call a doctor for some help
