Pot-filled furniture seized at Douglas border

http://www.azstarnet.com/sn/hourlyupdate/299986.php

More than 600 pounds of marijuana concealed in furniture upholstery was seized
at the Douglas port of entry, an official said Tuesday.

The seizure occurred Sunday at about 7:30 a.m.

A 24-year-old Mesa man arrived at the port in a 1997 Dodge truck carrying a living room
set of new furniture, according to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection news release.

A search of the vehicle revealed the marijuana, which has an estimated street value of $1.5 million.
