I bring this up as a result of, what else, my trip to GD.
A OP said he had called Rep. King and made a particular comment.
A response started out with "If you you really did this" and then a complimentary statement about the substance of the remark. They could have just given the compliment, but felt obligated to question the actuality of the OP.
Against my better judgement, I asked the poster about the response
Anyway, why do people do this? (that is a rhetorical question)
