1. We got some awesome big red tomatoes from a produce stand.
Not sure where they were grown, but I think they are local. MS tomatoes!

9. NOTHIN'!
Not even a blossom. I planted three (plants, not seeds!) a month ago, but it's been so cold and rainy, everything's been delayed. Blossoms JUST showed up on my green bean vines. The only other blossom I can see is on the zucchini plant (of course). Garden's gonna be lame this year. :(

15. Sorry to hear that.
But it makes me not so sad that I didn't get to garden this year. I'm just trying to grow grass. The rain has been good for that. I had to water for the first time tonight.

Unfortunately the soil here is waaaay more compacted and clayish then at the other house. Not sure how I'm going to manage putting in a garden next year. :(

20. Yeah, we had that when we lived in Honeoye
I had no idea how clay-like the soil was in the FL till then. Between the soil and the pines, I couldn't grow shit there--not even ferns!

You'll probably want to try raised beds next year. I hear they're really great.

14. This post reminds me.... Has anyone tried the topsy turvy?
I think that is the name. The thing where the tomatoes are grown upside down? I know people have grown them that way for years, but I am curious about the contraption they are selling on TV.
