I just met Dennis Kucinich! |
|
He spoke at the Decatur Public Library a while ago, and I drove over to hear him. He's a GREAT speaker, and he really 'connects' with his audience. I also got his autograph on a campaign sign.

I really do think his stances most closely resemble my own out of all those that ran for dem nominee. But he's so liberal, he'd never win us a general election in november.
I admire how he's stayed in the race even though he's already lost. He offers a welcome alternative to those who don't like Kerry.

5. Glad you had this opportunity, Padraig18! |

I have long felt that one must see Dennis speak live to truly appreciate his message and to understand the passion of his supporters. He really has mastered connecting with his audience. Now if only we could figure out how to get him to connect as effectively over TV.
How big was the crowd?

It was a nice crowd, considering the time and the weather. he speaks at the U. of I tonight, and should have a much larger audience. :)

I have a battery-operated pin of a donkey whose eyes are red and flash. He commented on it, and took it off and made a gift of it to him. Hehehe.:)

17. he must've gotten better then |
|
when I saw him a year ago, I wasn't particularly impressed by his speaking abilities. He resorted to what public speaking novices usually do - shout. He had passion though, I'll give him that.

Although i support Edwards (better presidentially, i like Kucinich better. He's too liberal for the stupid public of America in general to be president.... too bad) and wish he was our nominee, i still would LOVE to meet Kucinich. He is a great man....

23. I listened to him Saturday |
|
He seemed a bit tired -- apparently, it was his 5th gig or something like that, but he did have some rather forceful remarks. When asked how one of his more minor plans was going to be funded, he replied: "You fund it by funding it. Call it a missile system and get it done."
